Now based in PDX, Vino grew up in Southern California surrounded by funk & grooves. Mentored by his father, he acquired the ear and knack for vinylism and crate digging at a young age. Upon arriving to the PNW, he had difficulty finding a sense of community but soon connected with likeminded peoples thanks to local collectives. As one of the founders of USBCHECK, Vino now focuses his efforts on supporting spaces that foster community and center underground sounds. With a colorful taste in music, his influences contain a wide range of genres including Latin global and UK based. He's supported acts like VHOOR, 2AT, WTCHCRFT, ALEROJ and ISABLU.
